Ethiopia Raises Power Tariffs for Crypto Miners in New Cost-Recovery Drive

Ethiopia is raising electricity rates for crypto miners. Starting Dec. 1, time-of-use and availability-based tariffs will replace the old flat rate, signaling the end of cheap, 24/7 energy contracts.
